This might be kind of hard to follow because there are some many layers to just having Diverticulitis. First, Diverticulitis falls under Diverticular disease, which basically creates small pouches in the wall of the colon. What It Is Diverticulitis is the state where there is an inflammation, or diverticula, in some of the pouches that were formed. Common symptoms for this condition can be abdominal pain and a fever. When it comes to digestive heath, there are factors like your stress level and lifestyle that have to be considered, but I find the biggest thing to think about is the food you eat. Depending on what condition you are diagnosed with, the diet that might be recommended to you by your doctor could vary from what I’m going to talk about.   There are general foods and drink that can help keep you from experiencing constipation or bloated. In continuation of my series of identifying different digestive problems, I’m going to briefly explain what it’s like to have Lactose Intolerance and what the best diet is if you have this condition. Lactose Intolerance is a common condition where your body doesn’t have enough enzymes to break down a sugar called Lactose and it is found in milk and milk products. 25 to 50 million Americans have some form of Lactose Intolerance and experience will vary. However, it could still be painful and uncomfortable, which could affect our everyday life. Some products that have Lactose are: milk, ice cream, soft and processed cheese, Pudding and Custards and cream based soups or sauces. Lactose is also in baked goods, milk chocolate and lunch meats. I’m going to talk about something that seems a little off topic considering my blog, but what’s been on my mind recently. This semester has become a difficult semester when it comes to my work load in most of my classes. Last semester, I signed up for the classes I’m taking now and I never thought that I picked three classes that contained a heavy work load and takes a lot of your time.  I’m anxious person to begin with, so the growing amount of stress that I have felt over the past seven weeks has affected my mind set and self-confidence. That has caused me to experience a lot of stress and anxiety. I’m not talking about stress over of finances or chores that need to be done at home.
